    Poultry Farm Process Writer Intern

    Parrish & Heimbecker

    Join our team that shares your Passion & Heart for Canadian agriculture Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Technical Writer Intern for our New-Life Mills division based in Hanover, ON.

    This position will be for the term of May 6, 2024, to Aug 30, 2024.

    Please note this is a paid position of $19.00/hour.

    Day to Day
    • Develop comprehensive documentation that translates complex information, concepts, and processes into simple, polished, and engaging content on farm site operations.
    • Research, outline, write, and edit SOP's working closely with farm managers and other departments to understand project requirements.
    • Assess the farm operation needs on technical and procedural documentation to ensure understanding.
    • Conduct site visits and gather information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information from subject-matter experts and service area leads to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
    • Create illustrations, diagrams, and other visual aids to complement the text editing, and updating technical documents and content, such as manuals, guides, and instructional materials.
    • Convert complex technical information into clear, concise, and well-structured content that can be easily understood by a specific audience.
    • Plans writing processes and tasks and sets timelines and deadlines.
    Required Qualifications
    • Currently enrolled in post-secondary program pursuing Business Administration, Communications, English or Health & Safety program and returning to school in the fall.
    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Have agricultural experience or background.
    Work and grow with a family-owned company.
