Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide eyelash extensions personally, in addition to leading staff and managing the studio
  • Leading by example and modelling all activities through selfinvolvement
  • Maintaining the morale of lash artists through positivity, motivation, and support
  • Promoting Deka Lash branding and culture through consistency and continuity in all actions

Client-focused Responsibilities (as a Lash Artist):

  • Provide astonishing lashes
  • Educate clients on how to properly care for their lashes
  • Upsell memberships, services, and products
  • Engage clients with worldclass service, including checking in and out

Client-focused Responsibilities (as a Studio Manager):

  • Encourage the highest level of customer service staff-wide
  • Respond professionally and in a timely manner to client experiences (both positive and negative) in person, on the phone or via social media

Staff-focused Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the hiring and training of Deka Lash studio Lash Artists
  • Phone screen and preinterview; make interview/hiring recommendations
  • Manage, monitor and mentor Deka Lash studio Lash Artists for ongoing success and future growth
  • Schedule Monthly staff meetings to discuss goals, recognize staff, and review Monthly Refresher Sheets and Promotions
  • Schedule biweekly meetings with each Lash Artist and create required action plans
  • Create and manage staff schedules, including handling sameday staff callouts
  • Responsible for quarterly and annual Lash Artist performance evaluations
  • Manage disciplinary actions involving Deka Lash studio staff, should they arise
  • Facilitate 1:1 biweekly development meetings with the Lash Artists
  • Facilitate and develop monthly agendabased team meetings

Studio-focused Responsibilities:

  • Exceed industry sanitation standards
  • Comply with and enforce Deka Lash Corporate policies, business practices, systems and processes
  • Supervise and reinforce studiolevel processes and systems
  • Monitor and respond to studio and staff reviews
  • Coordinate and lead local sales efforts (social media marketing, outreach, studio events)
  • Ensure all studio systems are followed such as proper open/close, delinquent account procedures, cash handling, bank deposits and inventory management
  • Ensure the facility is clean, stocked, properly maintained and operationally sound

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist
  • Positive, proactive and a team player
  • Possess excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive, successful environment for staff and clients
  • Have a strong work ethic, integrity and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and manage client and staff concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ability to foster a TEAM environment
  • Goal driven
  • Must be available to work during extended studio hours (including evenings and weekends)
  • Must be accessible when unforeseen issues arise outside of working schedule
  • Previous management experience in the beauty industry is highly desirable
