    Job Description

    The Accounts Payable Technician's main function will be to verify, compile and process invoices and issue payments for the area under his/her responsibility. In addition, the Accounts Payable Technician will contribute to the payables automation project by participating in the integration of data recognition technology.

    Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings;
  • Identify invoice data for various vendor formats.
  • Work closely with the project manager;
  • Validate, enter and follow up on payments and account reconciliations;
  • Perform reconciliation of supplier account statements;
  • Ensure the application of internal controls;
  • Manage accounts payable with rigor and diligence;
  • Provide support to department managers;
  • Participate in various internal audits;
  • Ensure the follow-up of down payments and reconciliation.
  • Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OCR technology or having participated in the automation of payable process;
  • Attestation of college studies or DVS in Accounting;
  • Five (5) years experience in a similar position;
  • Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Good ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment;
  • Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written;
  • Rigorous and diligent management of duties;
  • Respect of deadlines, management of priorities;
  • Knowledge of the SAP system, ESKER an asset;
  • Must be able to multitask and have an interest in working in a team.
