The BAS Technician/Programmer will divide their time between office and field. Requires in-depth knowledge of building automation, HVAC and mechanical systems.


KEY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Plan and manage the installation & integration of building automation systems and related HVAC & mechanical equipment;
• Collaborate and support field technicians with troubleshooting & repair of BAS and related building equipment;
• Program building automation systems for optimal operation;
• Build and maintain positive and professional longterm relationships with team members, clients, suppliers and stakeholders;
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies & procedures.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• Diploma of Technology OR Journeyman Electrician, plus minimum 5 years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of building automation system experience.
• Reliable Controls BAS knowledge preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Intermediate to advanced DDC programming and networking skills (required),
• Formal training in BACnet, Reliable Controls (preferred);
• Indepth knowledge of HVAC systems, all related building systems and mechanical equipment (required);
• BAS installation, service and repair experience (preferred);
• Project management experience (preferred);
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with team members and customers.
