Summary:

The Regional Manager plays a strategic role in providing mentorship and development to team members while driving efficiencies, managing day-to-day property operations, and ensuring strong financial asset performance.

As a key leader within the Operations team, the Area Manager will ensure that team members are motivated and equipped with the necessary tools for success.


Description:


  • Drive results and achieve top performance through effective and strategic leadership
  • Exemplify integrity, efficiency and service excellency, while promoting teamwork in all areas
  • In collaboration with the Regional Director, provide mentorship, development, and guidance to team members, at site level as well as management
  • Ensure proper followthrough on all policies, procedures, directives and initiatives from the Director, Residential Operations and SVP, Operations
  • Develop and implement building management processes to meet client requirements
  • Perform regular onsite inspections of properties, including common areas, building exteriors, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders (i.e. residents, contractors, client representatives, internal parties, etc.) while ensuring that areas of concern are addressed promptly and thoroughly
  • Manage and deliver strong financial performance for each property
  • Participate in the timely preparation of reports and budgets, while analyzing operating variances as needed
  • Stay current with new technologies, systems and procedures as they relate to property management and required skills
  • Create opportunities for costreductions through innovation and research
  • Take leadership in providing recommendations and ideas during meetings, as well as on projects and processes

Requirements:


  • Minimum five (5) years property management experience in residential highend properties
  • Graduate and/or certificate/degree in business administration, real estate finance, CPM, IHM or related field
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial and municipal legislation including the Residential Tenancies Act
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office, and knowledge of Yardi Prior managerial experience required
  • Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment preferred
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and stakeholders
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license required
