**Ensuring the Well-being of Children in Foster Care**

• This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

As a Foster Care/Kinship Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of children in foster care or kinship placements.

You will work closely with social workers, community resources, and families to develop and monitor individual care plans for children, providing essential services and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular visits with children to assess their physical, emotional, and social well-being, offering ongoing support and guidance to foster and kinship families, and providing training and resources to caregivers on topics such as trauma-informed care and child development.

You will also help caregivers navigate the foster care system, including understanding their rights and responsibilities, legal processes, and available support resources.

Additionally, you will organize and lead regular meetings with foster/kinship families to discuss the childs progress and address any concerns.

We are seeking an individual with a strong ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience working in Indigenous communities is an asset, as is the ability to speak Cree or Dene.
