As an ESG Communications Specialist on the Sustainable Development team at National Bank, you will serve as a key expert in communicating ESG information.

This role will enable you to leverage your skills and experience in ESG reporting and communications in order to have a positive impact on our organization and our stakeholders.


Your role

  • Understand business issues, identify the needs of various stakeholders, and propose communication strategies, keeping in mind the varied nature of files
  • Understand all ESG disclosure requirements (regulatory standards, frameworks and best practices) and help establish a schedule for deliverables
  • Serve as a lead in drafting various public reports related to ESG (e.g., ESG Report, Climate Report) and contribute to drafting ESG content for public reports under the responsibility of other sectors (e.g., Annual Report, Management Proxy Circular)
  • Coordinate the creation onetime, quarterly and annual documents for the unit, which affect the Bank's ESG reputation, positioning, image and performance indicators, both internally and externally
  • Design ESG communications that can be shared internally and externally and propose optimal delivery solutions
  • Work with the different stakeholders to develop an efficient solution for managing ESG data that meets various reporting needs
  • Advise various Bank units on content and improvements to practices and policies that will reinforce our ESG impact
  • Participate in preparing meetings of the various ESG working groups and the internal ESG governance committee

Your team


You will be part of the Sustainable Development and Governance team in the Legal Affairs/Public Affairs, Communications and ESG sector.

You will work with key stakeholders in the business lines and in the Finance, Risk Management, Compliance and Employee Experience sectors.


Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications and/or relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the ecosystem and trends in sustainable development, including various international agreements and business ESG strategies
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint
  • Ability to summarize and be creative
  • Recognized strength as a writer
  • Ability to prioritize files and multitask
  • Engaging leadership style and strong interpersonal skills
  • Sense of initiative, agility and independent learning skills
