Dover House Care Home is seeking an exceptional cook/chef to join our team on a
Permanent Full Time in our home-like, person centered senior care home.
Responsibilities and Duties
Must have a true passion for cooking and baking home-style, nutritious meals suitable for a senior's pallet.
Breakfast is served a la cart and the successful applicant must be able to follow a weekly menu schedule for lunch & dinners.
Able to follow recipes pertaining to the menu. Be knowledgeable in preparing texture food; chopped, pureed, thickened, minced & cut up. Presentation is a must. Must be reliable, adaptable, and enjoy learning new things.Qualifications and Skills
- Food Safe and WHMIS requirement
- Up to date Immunizations
- Covid 19, TB testing or Xray
- Current and satisfactory criminal record check
- Experience will be considered in lieu of culinary training
- Organization and multitasking key
- Valid Drivers License
- Grade 12 equivalent
