Mechanical Assembly Technician - North York, Canada - Mega Automation

Description

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Assemble mechanical components, including motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and pulleys
• Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment to complete assembly tasks
• Conduct functional testing and troubleshooting of completed assemblies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly processes and reduce waste
• Collaborate with other members of the production team to ensure that projects are completed on time and to customer specifications
• Visit customer sites for equipment installations and service
• Perform pneumatic wiring and troubleshooting as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience with power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment
• Experience with pneumatic systems is a plus
• Experience with welding is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel to customer sites for installations and service
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a variety of positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching

• French not required

• 8 hour shift
