JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Priorities:

Inventory Management: Lead the procurement team to achieve optimum inventory levels, fulfillment rates, inventory turns and reduced aged inventory across all categories to support customer demand.

Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate outstanding partnerships with Imperial Distributors Canada Inc.'s diverse range of vendor partners. This role is pivotal in bridging the company with its vendors, ensuring robust and mutually beneficial relationships.

Strategic Opportunity Identification: Seek out areas of opportunity for enhancing efficiency, profitability, and revenue. This involves crafting and executing strategic action plans to transform these opportunities into tangible results.

Program Development: Create, implement, and follow through on initiatives based on market opportunities to support clinical, sales, and promotional programs for pharmacies.


Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic Category Development: Architect a comprehensive strategy for assigned categories and vendors, aimed at enhancing revenue, streamlining efficiency, and bolstering profitability.

Opportunity Capitalization: Identify potential areas for growth and devise robust action plans for new revenue streams and unique market positioning.

Promotional Program Development: Create innovative specialized initiatives tailored to the needs of retail pharmacy to drive revenue.

Competitive Analysis: Gather and analyze information on industry and competitive changes to sustain our competitive edge and expansion in the pharmaceutical distribution sector.

Vendor Relationship Reviews: Regularly engage in comprehensive evaluations with all designated vendors to foster continuous improvement and growth.

Institutional Relationship Building:Grow relationships with government, health authorities and industry associations where it makes sense for our role in the healthcare industry.

Team Leadership and Development: Offer guidance, development opportunities, and performance management to the team, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.

Product Assessment: Critically evaluate all new product proposals to determine their potential for successful integration into the company's offerings.

Leadership Updates: Consistently communicate with the leadership team on industry dynamics and activities.


Educational and Professional Prerequisites:


  • A university degree, with a preference for backgrounds in Pharmacy or healthrelated fields.
  • 4 years or more experience in procurement and inventory management.
  • 3 years or more experience in strategic negotiations and building supplier relationships.
  • 3 years or more experience in managing and leading teams to resolve problems and achieve company targets.

Salary:
$120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
