Job Summary

We are seeking a Civil Engineer In Training to join our growing team in Whitby.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


Responsibilities:


  • Perform calculations and analysis using engineering formulas for design of private and municipal infrastructure in support of land development projects
  • Prepare grading and servicing plans in support of land development projects
  • Prepare sanitary and storm design calculations
  • Prepare erosion & sedimentation control plans
  • Prepare functional servicing and stormwater management reports for private developments
  • Assist in preparing contract specifications and tender packages, such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, etc
  • Other assignments as needed

Qualifications:


  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT license or CET designation
  • Relevant internship or related work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills are required
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence
