Northern Strands is currently recruiting for a team player to fulfill the role of a

Fall Protection Crew Installer (Field Tech). Our client base includes the mining industry, construction industry, urban and rural municipal governments, and more.
This position performs a variety of tasks and is primarily responsible for the execution of safe and efficient Fall Protection system installations and assessments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing fall protection systems and performing fall protection inspections at a variety of customer sites under the direction of the Crew Supervisor.
Complete tasks in accordance with the company procedures and policies for specific jobs.
Maintaining safe work practices, the Installer provides a working example of safe methods for working at heights.
Completing site inspections of existing fall protection systems and anchors
Communicate professionally with clients and other work groups
Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 education or equivalent
35 years of related work experience
Trades certificates related to mining or construction would be beneficial
Ability to read and interpret project/building drawings and blueprints
Ability to problem solve and relay concise and effective solutions for any issues encountered in the field in an effort to not delay or defer project completions
A sound understanding of safety regulations and standards, with preference towards comprehension and detailed understanding of CSA Z259 Fall Protection standards
Ability to operator computers/tablets in order to complete required documentation
Any safety related training certificates would be considered an asset
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
