    Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Librarian/Documentation Coordinator

    What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, maintain, and provide training for an information cataloguing and library classification system for show-based training and documentation
  • Provide governance for content lifecycle, archival, deduplication, and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain documentation and show style guides in collaboration with the show leadership and development group.
  • Design and support a user documentation on-boarding process
  • Contribute to, implement, and enforce facility style guide at the show level
  • What we need to see:

  • Library and Information Science, Technical Writing, or Technical Documentation Specialist background preferred
  • Highly organized -- strong skills in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented -- strong ability to find and track down issues, and focus on providing a clean and accurate product to end-users
  • Technically minded -- capable of keeping up with unique and evolving technical terminology and processes
  • Proactive -- solving problems and flagging issues quickly
  • Self-motivated -- ability to be iterate and improve without needing constant direction
  • Collaborative -- comfortable working with different levels of users, and partnering with content authors and developers
  • Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Confluence, Notion, Wordpress, or other content management system experience
  • Video editing skills
  • Layout / Design / UX experience
  • Coordination experience
  • Film / Post-production / Fine art experience
  • Teaching / Training / Public speaking experience
  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $ $33.03/hr. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
