Description

Do you have a general understanding of park and landscape maintenance techniques? Do you have strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills? If so, we want you on our Parks Services Team

  • Conduct daily general park maintenance duties such as:
  • Collect garbage, recycling and litter.
  • Clean washrooms, facilities and infrastructure.
  • Daily visual playground inspections.
  • Minor facility and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Complete inspection and maintenance reports.
  • Provide information and assistance to the public.

Assist with:

  • Ongoing trail maintenance and construction.
  • Natural area management.
  • Horticultural activities.
  • Facility and amenity maintenance.
  • General park operation tasks.
Other related duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you must have completed grade 12 (or equivalent), have a valid BC Driver's Licence and a good understanding of park and landscape maintenance techniques.

You must have sufficient physical strength and stamina to do manual outdoor work in all types of weather and be comfortable working by yourself at times.

This position requires experience using small tools and equipment safely, understanding facility and infrastructure maintenance, cleaning, construction techniques, and safe operation of ATV's, lawn equipment and tractors.

You must be organized, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player.


This is a full time, seasonal position commencing immediately with the season anticipated to end mid November, 2023 (with entitlement to recall during the next season).

This position consists of a 40-hour work week, Sunday to Thursday, 6:30am to 3:00pm with an hourly wage of $28.64.
