The Role:


As we continue to grow our surface movement analysis team, we are seeking an Analyst to contribute to the production, analysis, and communication of measurements made from interferometric analyses of mines, oil and gas reservoirs, pipelines, cities, and critical transportation and water infrastructure.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with a team of geospatial analysts in the execution of InSAR service projects
  • Generate ground measurement results over mines, oil and gas reservoirs, pipelines, cities, and transportation infrastructure using proprietary methods of InSAR analysis developed by MDA.
  • Produce maps and graphic used for communication of geospatial phenomena using ARC software
  • Maintain and continue the development of MDA Visualization Portal and other QC/Processing tools.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge and experience working with remote sensing and geomatics technologies is essential
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal/Image Processing is essential
  • Strong mathematics and physics skills are essential
  • Computer programming/ scripting skills are essential
  • Experience working with ESRI Online services and associated programming skills is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) (e.g but not limited to RADARSAT1 and 2; Sentinel1, etc) is an asset
  • Knowledge of Python and /or arcPy, MATLAB, JavaScript is an asset
  • Knowledge of geodatabases is an asset
  • Ability to work to tight schedules
  • Ambition to grow in the organization

Job Education and Experience:


  • University degree with strong physics/mathematics background
  • Courses or experience in programming/scripting
  • Geotechnical discipline is an asset
  • Graduate level experience is an asset
  • Related remote sensing and/or geomatics job experience would be an asset.
