Construction Estimator - Kitchener, Canada - Campos Painting

Description

Duties:

• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for painting construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities
• Create detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys for accurate material ordering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as a painting construction estimator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of construction and painting methods, materials, and industry standards
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

This position is fully remote but will require occasional on-site visits across Ontario. Valid G dricers license and own reliable transportation required.
