Role Summary:

The Stamping Press Operator is an integral member of the Press Shop Team that is responsible for completing all necessary safety/quality checks, reporting safety/quality issues, and operating presses (transfer and progressive).

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment that employs the use of heavy mechanical stamping presses, ideally 23 years.
Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job, including regular physical lifting of up to 2530lbs.
Background in manufacturing with press experience including quality and safety initiatives.
Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
Thorough understanding of production quality standards and defects common to a press shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform changeovers, die protection controls and related equipment for all progressive/transfer operations.
Capable of training others to perform related tasks using SWI process.
Lift, move, stack, pack visually monitor parts through an established process on Progressive and transfer dies according to SWI.
Capable of understanding and completing paperwork accurately.
Meets or exceeds production, quality and delivery outputs as prescribed by established
Complete Pre-Shift Press Safety Inspection ensuring compliance with all required Health and Safety procedures.
