Behrens and Associates, Inc, Environmental Noise Control - A highly successful Acoustical Consulting and Sound Control Firm has an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced Business Development/Sales Representative. This position will cover the Northeastern Canadian Territory and surrounding areas.
The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing new strategic accounts, maintaining, building, and growing relationships with key clients.
This person must have the ability to travel throughout the Region and occasionally visit our Red Deer, AB office when necessary.
Responsible for maintaining and developing a new client base in the area for acoustical mitigation and engineering services. Primary client base targets operate in Industrial/Commercial Construction, oil and gas, public works, entertainment venues.Business Development Representative:
- Responsible for developing new strategic accounts and assisting in developing relationships with key clients.
- Work with the Area Manager and Sales/Business Development Manager to develop new clients and markets.
- Build productive, professional relationships with decisionmakers and key personnel within the region.
- Participate in Business Development Department planning & achieve company sales goals.
- Study and evaluate strategic accounts short
- Analyze and recommend strategies and assist with the development of marketing plans.
- Develop and tailor technical presentations to match potential client needs and present technical solutions to key decisionmakers.
- Provide customer service and function as one of the primary contact points for clients, including resolving client issues and complaints.
- Meet reasonable sales volume goals and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Assess and validate client needs on an ongoing basis.
- Report on competitive product capabilities and developments.
- Research and communicate new product opportunities to develop specific to the assigned accounts.
- Represent the company at various trade shows and marketing functions.
- Communicate industry information related to product and service growth opportunities while working closely with senior leadership to establish and achieve regional and corporate goals.
- Maintain organizational communication and report directly to the territory area manager.
- Work closely with inside sales to create budgets and prepare proposals.
- Desire and aptitude for learning/understand our market to ensure we are evolving ahead of the market trends to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years industry related sales/business development experience.
- Previous oil and gas, pipeline, acoustical sound mitigation, construction, environmental or industrial sales or similar experience is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus industryspecific experience is ideal.
- Competence in reading and interpreting industryrelated reports, documents, and technical drawings helpful.
- Must have and maintain a clear driver/motor vehicle record and ability to travel.
- Must have the ability to travel throughout the region for project and sales support. This position will include travel to our corporate office and other regional field offices throughout the US and Canada as necessary.
