Description
We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

We are DRE (Development & Release Engineering) - a central EA team at the intersection of DevOps, Release Management and Build Engineering.

We build, manage, and maintain the build pipelines for the majority of EA's studios worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager who is passionate about both process and team collaboration, to provide project management and coordination support for the team.

You will manage project planning, estimation, monitoring, execution, balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, and manage risks and mitigation.

You know how to build healthy, high functioning relationships with internal and partner teams.

You are comfortable talking across all levels of an organization; you always know the status of your project and can visualize that status for any audience.

You will report to a Development Director, and partner with software engineers, IT, technical and business leadership to ensure the project is managed on time, to quality, and within budget.

This is a temporary, 12 months contract role.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage project roadmap, determine resource requirements, task dependencies, and assign tasks to team resources.
  • Develop working relationships with an immediate team and those outside of the immediate team that have an effect on the completion of the project.
  • Tracking and communicating progress while striving for transparency.
  • Proactively mitigate risk for assigned scope and quality.
  • Establish new processes when needed to improve efficiency.
  • Support team wide initiatives (information gathering, documentation, meeting, communication, resolving roadblocks, supporting oncall procedures, post mortem).
  • You are not satisfied with task completion alone, but are an advocate for quality while still caring for and protecting the team.

Your Qualifications:

  • Project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Excel, Google Doc, Slack, PowerBI.
  • Manage uncertainty by asking questions or advocating for solutions.
  • Risk identification and mitigation experience.
  • Enjoy working in a fast and collaborative team environment.
  • Skill in communicating across all levels and teams.
  • 3+ years project management or team leadership experience.
  • Experience in different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. PMP and/or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) are beneficial, but not required.
  • Experience in creating process and/or technical documentation is nice to have.
