Information Technology Manager - North York, Canada - Wireless DNA Inc.
Description
Role responsibility
- Maintaining security by monitoring the systems for potential vulnerabilities, identifying risks, and proactively taking action to mitigate them.
- Manage IT support team and oversees service desk, investigate and resolve root cause issues, help support team with Office 365 administration/head office support. Troubleshooting problems and proactively increase overall efficiency of the IT department.
- Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Manage deployment of new IT systems/platforms and cloud services.
- Manage IT asset inventory and movement, licenses inventory and usage.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively.
- Manage various retail IT projects, including new retail store opening/upgrades.
- Enforce various IT policies, for compliance and governance purposes.
- Developing data backup systems and disaster recovery contingencies.
- Staying up to date with new IT developments in the industry.
Skills required.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 platform, Microsoft Power Platform, Cloud PC, Azure, Azure AD, Microsoft Intune, MS Teams
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management.
- Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Flexible working hours.
- Experience with Cisco OpenDNS, Microsoft Dynamics /BC, Meraki is assets.
