The opportunity is in the form of Lead Operations Officer, Fixed Income Settlements. Below are Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Requirements.

Job Description:

Manage and resolve Fixed Income settlement exceptions in CDS and CDCC
Perform daily CAD settlements for repo, pledge, bond, and safekeeping trades
Investigate and resolve cash breaks and depository breaks
Build strong relationships with all business partners locally and globally
Liaise with regional/Global Fixed Income settlement teams for efficient crossborder settlement
Identify opportunities for process improvements within areas of responsibility
Coordinate documentation of processes and ensure knowledge continuity with teammates
Identify risk in cash wire payments and escalate appropriately
Manage individual and team request
Cross train on all settlement desks to add depth for team coverage during staff vacations and absences
Ad hoc requests (audit confirmations, answering queries)
Attend team meetings
Be involved with serviced businesses internal to TD and external vendors/providers

Requirements:

Sound knowledge of Canadian Fixed Income settlements
Sound knowledge of transaction lifecycle for Fixed Income products
Ability to manage the below responsibilities through the following using exceptional organizational, time management, interpersonal and analytical skills:
Reconciliation of internal accounts and depository balances
A combination of manual and automated processes
Decisions or interpretations on processes or transactions within defined boundaries
Execution of routine and adhoc requests
