- Prepare deliverables to support internal reporting of KPIs to senior management
- Prepare supporting schedules for our periodic SEC and SEDAR filings as well as our statutory financial reporting
- Prepare monthly calculations and reporting related to IMAX Theater Systems and customer contracts
- Review and enhance all process and controls documentation as necessary
- Ensure that all relevant SOX controls are being complied with on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Review master data and the chart of accounts in SAP
- Research, analyze, and assess the impact of new U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and pronouncements
- Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of financial reporting/corporate accounting experience
- CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation
- Experience in analysis of financial information/data
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Attention to detail and awareness of how your role and responsibilities fits into the broader mission of the Finance department and IMAX
- The desire and ability to solve problems through a process that includes independent research, collaboration and persistence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset to work as part of a team
