Requirements:

Teaching will include clinical, didactic, and laboratory teaching of undergraduate students and interns. Developing a residency program is a goal and with that, training of residents would also be expected.

Qualifications include a DVM (or equivalent) and advanced clinical training in veterinary anatomic pathology, with board certification or eligibility (ACVP or ECVP anatomic).

Previous diagnostic experience is desirable. A graduate degree is considered an asset. The applicant must be licensed or immediately eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

Appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor (Teaching) require evidence of successful undergraduate teaching abilities.

The duties of an Assistant Professor (Teaching) will normally include, but not go beyond the scholarship required to maintain currency in pedagogy and content in the discipline.
