Lab Technician - Electoral Area A - Blankslate Partners
Description
Axine is an award-winning Canadian cleantech company headquartered in Vancouver, focused on solving some of the world's most pressing water and environmental challenges.
Industrial manufacturing facilities worldwide generate billions of gallons of wastewater contaminated with toxic, non-biodegradable organic pollutants that are costly, difficult, and increasingly regulated to treat. Conventional solutions often fall short, forcing companies into expensive and high-risk disposal methods.
Axine was created to change this. Our proprietary electro-oxidation (EOx) technology destroys even the most complex organic pollutants—including emerging contaminants such as PFAS—with guaranteed performance. Delivered through a flexible, service-based model, our solutions offer superior performance and lower total cost compared to incumbent treatment approaches.
From concept to commercial deployment, Axine has scaled rapidly with multinational customers across pharmaceutical, chemical, and industrial markets. Backed by leading cleantech investors, the Canadian government, and a global partner network, we are now entering a phase of rapid growth. Powered by a highly skilled, entrepreneurial team, Axine is setting a new standard for industrial wastewater treatment.
The Role
Axine is seeking a Laboratory Technician to play a key role in the testing, development and commercialization of the technology. Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Product Engineer, the incumbent will support wastewater treatment R&D and testing including setup, operation and modification of lab benchtop and pilot scale test equipment, as well as performing in-house water measurement. The incumbent will also perform water quality measurements including chemical oxygen demand (COD), pH and more, as well as coordinating with external analytical labs for water sample analysis. This role will involve close collaboration and coordination with Axine's R&D and Engineering functions. Axine is seeking an outstanding individual with a diverse, well-rounded set of skills and a proven track record executing and delivering similar types of assignments in a fast-moving and dynamic environment of a growing technology company.
