What you'll do:

Reporting to the National Director of Marketing, the
Marketing Coordinator will assist in promoting and building the reputation of five of Larco's properties and restaurants:

  • Toronto Marriott City Centre
  • Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre
  • Hilton Vancouver Airport
  • Vancouver Airport Marriott
  • Sheraton Vancouver Airport.

As the Marketing Coordinator (located in Toronto, ON or Richmond, BC), you will support the National Marketing Director and the Content Marketing Specialists with various administrative and marketing tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Creating and designing marketing materials for the hotels and restaurants and ensuring they are optimized, accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborating with the Content Marketing Specialists on planning and executing content calendars including identifying, curating, and repurposing relevant content from our guests, hotel brands, local attractions, partners, etc. to address our target audience's needs.
  • Maintaining inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinating the creation of new materials when necessary.
  • Assisting with the creation, planning and coordination of bookable experiences to enhance hotel stays (onproperty activations, inroom amenities, etc.)
  • Becoming an expert on each property & brand; knowing their offerings and amenities inside and out.
  • Updating and maintaining the hotels' restaurant websites.
  • Writing 12 pieces of original content (blog posts) monthly for the Richmond Conference Centre website.
  • Actively monitoring all channels and engaging with followers and key accounts to create connections and deepen relationships.
  • Analyzing competitors' content strategies and identifying areas of opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Assisting with assembling monthend reports and analytics.
  • Compiling guest reviews and tracking staff mentions.
  • Attending and covering special events and promotions in our hotels and restaurants.
  • Maintaining a media and influencer list as well as vetting and coordinating partnerships.
  • Assisting with professional brand photoshoots as needed.
  • Creating and updating marketing materials for the HR teams to support recruiting efforts.
  • Some travel required between Larco's Canadian properties in Toronto and Richmond.

What you'll offer us:

The Marketing Coordinator is an organized multitasker who can handle many projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in digital media, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • 1 year of handson marketing and/or administrative experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Exceptional graphic design skills in Canva.
  • Experience with Mailchimp is an asset.
  • Flexibility for night and weekend work when necessary (onsite special events, etc.).
  • Must be organized and thrive managing multiple project
