Job Purpose:
In this position you will work directly with sibling groups ageing from 0- 17
years. You will be required to enrich their quality of life in a home setting that is their own.
Provide the day to day care of the sibling group in accordance with all provided policies and
procedures manuals provided. To be incharge of the overall shift operations of the home.
Work conditions:
Will be required to work in a home environment with Netsanak Wekowaw
staffing team and persons served, providing the most natural type of service possible for each
person served to have a sense of a healthy sustaining family connection. Travel and overnight
stay may be required from time to time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for administering the day to day care of the person served and as a
- Responsible for the administration of the day to day functioning of the home.
- Required to provide direction to persons served.
- Responsible for responding and administering all emergency response procedures and

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Completion of high school diploma and must be eighteen years of age.
- Six (6) months work experience in a child/youth related field.
- Food handling certificate.
- Standard First Aid—Level C CPR.
- Police Information Check; including Vulnerable Sector Check within the last three
starting date).
- Child Services Intervention Record Check within the last three months (this can be
- Class 5 drivers.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Organizational skills and effective in emergency response
- Able to commit to the team for the betterment of each persons served
- Trauma Informed Practices
- Computer word/ excel processing skills
Hours and Benefits:
- Day and evening shifts: eight hours, with a thirty minute paid break in between
- Night shift: seven hours.
- Weekend shifts will be required.
- All employees will be paid $16.00 an hour for attended training hours.
- All travel expenses will be covered, overnight accommodations, and meals.
- Benefits package for all full time employees.
- Meals with persons served are included and encouraged.
- Hourly wage will be paid for any counselling or therapy sessions taken.
