Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to fill a full-time role as a Business Analyst.

You will be responsible for helping the business to become more efficient and to provide better service to its customers and you will assist in business procedures and solution delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Actively achieve Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge and understanding of business processes and flows through indepth analysis of workflows and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participating in requirements/user story reviews
  • Translate business requirements into a set of functional requirements for the development teams to implement
  • Requirement development for ongoing user requests and provide best practices and standards
  • Develop user acceptance testing checklist and obtaining user acceptance
  • Develop and maintain an efficient sign off process to meet business requirements
  • Proactively identify and assess any operational or regulatory risks
  • Presenting ideas for system improvements for new or existing solutions
  • Support business process development, setup modifications, integrations, security and overall maintenance
  • Development of user manuals and training materials covering processes and operational procedures
  • Facilitate recurring meetings, track actions, and follow up on planning
  • Adhere to formal software development processes and procedures
  • Work effectively with the System development team, product manager and other departments
  • Coordinate with development team and QA team to ensure smooth transition of developed resources to QA for manual and automation testing
  • Assist QA team to perform UI, functional, regression and other types of testing activities for planned software releases, feature enhancements, hotfixes and/or data changes
  • Productive in both teambased and selfmanaged tasks
  • Report directly to the Vice President Systems

Desired Experience (in order of importance)

  • 7+ years working experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Framework for Project Planning
  • Experience with full software development cycle, requirements gathering, prioritization, quality assurance, end user training and task management plans
  • Working knowledge of change management techniques and practices
  • Strong organizational, communication and planning skills
  • Experience with manual and automated testing process and various formal testing methodologies
  • System development and IT focused business analyst work experience
  • A strong understanding of technology and financial services industry. Ability to understand various product level information
  • Ability to communicate clearly and transparently; demonstrate due diligence and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion
  • Time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects and priorities
  • Ability to learn new technical business domains quickly
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with diagraming or wireframing tools

Education
Graduate from a recognized Institute of Technology or University degree program in an appropriate specialty such as computer science, Business Administration or related field

  • CBAP, CSM or PSM designations
  • PMP designation would be an asset
