About This Career Opportunity Black & McDonald's Alberta Utilities team is growing If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working innovative team this opportunity is for you Black & McDonald is actively seeking an Estimating Administrator to join our Alberta team Reporting to the Division Manager the Estimating Administrator provides direct administrative support to the Estimating team by managing RFQs maintaining documentation and ensuring timely communication with clients and subcontractors to facilitate accurate competitive bids Additional responsibilities include coordinating file management distributing information to team members and ensuring addendums are properly posted communicated DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES Create upload download estimate files estimating logs Organize manage tender documents on estimating server Update tracking systems maintain Estimate Checklist Distribute tender documents subcontractors suppliers Handle follow-up communication clients subcontractors suppliers Prioritize process incoming RFQs Prepare track pre-qualification submissions Ensure compliance tender submission protocols Review drawings specifications new estimates assist estimator assignments Create submit bid/no-bid forms Support Estimating team all required documents available Assist creating pre-quals RFP's work plan bid submissions Assist tender forms bonding insurance signatures submission materials during bid closings Manage emails phone calls general administrative tasks Prepare print tender documents maintain monthly reports Update contact databases finding new estimating opportunities Other administrative duties assigned Competency Requirements Change Orientation open change ability identify needed make happen Communicates Effectively verbally writing Continuous Learning ongoing effort learn contribute others Customer Focus understands needs perspectives both internal external customers Holds Self Others Accountable takes personal responsibility meet commitments Problem Solving Innovation approach problems logically seek solutions Teamwork Collaboration works cooperatively collaboratively others Values Respects Others encourages supports diversity EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum years experience administrative role Post-secondary education Business Administration Construction Management Office Administration related field Equivalent experience estimating construction office environment considered place formal education Skills Abilities Other Requirements Knowledge bidding processes construction terminology asset Strong organizational skills prioritize manage track multiple RFQ tenders deadlines simultaneously Excellent document control organizing uploading maintaining large volumes project files High attention detail preparing tender checklists reports Collaborative mindset willing assist wherever needed Ability maintain accurate up-to-date databases filing systems Dependable proactive able work independently minimal supervision Proficient MS Office Programs Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint Knowledgeable willing trained construction-related platforms programs Office set-up position fully currently based Leduc Avenue Please advised Criminal Background Check Professional Reference Check required part employment screening selection process All applicants must legally entitled Canada Black McDonald welcomes encourages applications persons disabilities Accommodations available upon request candidates taking part recruitment selection process
