Aramark is recruiting for a skilled Chef Manager to execute, monitor and deliver culinary expertise for our franchise, proprietary food outlets and catering services at University of Toronto Scarborough campus.

Reporting to the Operations Food Manager, you'll take a hands-on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations.

Responsibilities:
- Train, manage and develop 5 kitchen personnel; supervise and coordinate culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption; requisition or purchase food referencing PRIMA recipe database
- Select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance; ensure proper safety and sanitation
- Liaise with the Catering Manager and Sous Chef for menu planning for campus catered event
- Manage food and labour costs; budgets adhering to Aramark and client financials reporting

Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Culinary and/or Hospitality diploma or Red Seal is preferred
- 35 years previous experience in a similar environment or franchise operations
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Skilled in recipe engineering of both traditional dishes and international cuisines
- Solid experience in menu development, costing, planning; food preparation and budgets
- Ability to, lead, mentor, and discipline staff to achieve optimum customer service experience
- Abillity to forecast needs, scheduling, training and succession planning as required
- Must be computer savvy for online ordering, production reports, inventory, timekeeping, payroll
- Demonstrated organization, meeting with deadlines; strong communication skills are essential
