    Description

At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it's cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It's how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We're headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you're excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

    About the Role

The People & Culture team is integral to KEV's success, driving organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational excellence through partnership and expertise. We collaborate across the business to deliver scalable people solutions, enhance manager capability, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting leaders and employees through strategic guidance, employee relations expertise, and data-informed people practices. You will work closely with department leaders, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and HR Operations to enable business goals and enhance the employee experience.

    • Lead employee relations investigations and provide coaching to managers — enabling consistent, fair, and legally compliant people practices.
    • Implement and optimize HR programs and processes — ensuring scalable practices that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
    • Support change management initiatives — enabling smooth transitions during organizational changes, process rollouts, and new program implementations.
    • Advise on employee relations and conflict resolution — ensuring fair, consistent, and timely issue resolution.
    • Drive organizational development and change initiatives — supporting scalability and long-term business sustainability.
    • Guide performance management processes — enabling high performance and clarity of expectations.
    • Use HR data for insights and decisions — contributing to evidence-based people strategies.
    • Collaborate on compensation and benefits — ensuring competitive, equitable, and consistent practices.

    Who You Are

    • 5 plus years of experience in Human Resources, including HRBP, HR Generalist, or People & Culture roles, supporting both U.S. and Canadian employees.
    • Strong experience in employee relations, coaching leaders, performance management, and organizational development.
    • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; CHRP/CHRL certification is an asset.
    • Experience with HRIS platforms, engagement survey tools, and people analytics dashboards. Rippling is an asset.
    • Relationship-building skills — enabling trust, collaboration, and cross-functional alignment.
