We have an immediate opportunity for a skilled individual to join our multi-disciplined team within our mechanical seal business unit.
You will help drive our business by providing timely teardown reports for customers, operating key equipment, and re-assembling and pressure testing before returning to the customer.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Receive customer's used seals and evaluate for repair feasibility using state of the art equipment for insstateoftheartment, and failure analysis; submit condition reports accordingly.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and specifications to determine work procedures.
- Work with the engineering team to understand and improve meant time between repairs.
- Set up machine/tooling/material, and operate machines required for work order production; This May include but is not limited to lapping tables, blast cabinets, drill press, manual lathe/milling machine, and electric/pneumatic tools.
- Build, fit, assemble, and finish products as instructed on work orders, on time and within established labour time standards.
- Actively follow all QA processes for inprocess and final quality control as per published standards and procedures; maintain QA inspection reports.
- Maintain inventory management principles of product packaging, labelling, storage, etc.
- Daily upkeep of machine, work area, and storage areas.
- Report to Mechanical Seal Supervisor on suggestions for improvement within the area.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered CET, Ctech, or ASct in Mechanical discipline (ASET, ASTTBC, or equivalent)
- Willing to submit a background check
- Must have a mechanical aptitude to use machines, hand tools, power tools and air tools to assemble intricate components to exact tolerances
- Rotating equipment experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of lapping, component inspection
- Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings
- Must have a positive attitudes willing to multitask and commit to whatever it takes to ensure customer satisfaction and overall continuous improvement.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a cool head.
- You'll be able to read, write, and speak fluent English in order to comply our AMS and HSM
- Comfortable working with a Windows PC for job tracking, reporting, equipment operation etc.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Millwright: 1 year (preferred)
