About this opportunity


As a key member of the Finance team, the Accounts Payable Coordinator will use knowledge and experience to support the timely and accurate execution of full cycle accounts payable functions.

This position will report to Manager, Accounts Payable or their designate.


Take an inside look at what you'll do each day:

  • Full cycle Accounts Payable functions using JIRA ticketing dashboard.
  • Matching/batching and coding of invoices and timely release of vendor payments.
  • Process, reconcile and validate expense reports.
  • Provide customer service to internal clients.
  • Followup with vendors and reconcile payment queries and statement of accounts.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Assist in preparing monthly accruals, various account reconciliation; audits, and other administration duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ongoing improvement of existing processes and systems.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • College diploma or equivalent experience in a related discipline, general accounting courses an asset
  • 2+ years experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong awareness of accounting best practices and client confidentiality obligations in the workplace
  • Strong attention to detail and produce errorfree, highquality output
  • Effective organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Problem solver with strong decisionmaking skills, who thrives in a fastpaced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software/platforms
