Description

WearCheck Canada Inc is an analytical laboratory specializing in the testing of all types of lubricating and hydraulic oils.

There is a current opening for a Laboratory Technician, who will join an established and effective team that typically processes several hundred samples each day.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Receipt and sorting of incoming samples.
• Analysis of oil samples using various instruments and equipment.
• Preparation and safe handling of reagents and other laboratory chemicals.
• Cleaning of glassware and equipment, including basic calibration and maintenance.
• Use of LIMS and other computer systems.
• Record keeping according to ISO 17025 / GLP requirements.
• Cleaning of laboratory and associated work areas.
• Safe working practices and good laboratory housekeeping.
• Maintain focus on Quality and meeting customer expectations.

Requirements / Skills

• Ability to multitask and operate several instruments over the course of the day.
• Must be well organized, timedriven, and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Quick learner, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Good team player also able to effectively work independently.

Position Information
This is a full-time, entry-level position (Mon-Fri, Relevant education / laboratory experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.


You must be local, eligible to work in Canada, and able to commute to work. There is no remote-working option for this role.

$40,000.00 per year
