The opportunity
In this role, you will work through business impacts, articulate business requirements, define user acceptance testing requirements.

You will work to understand current state by obtaining information, with the right level of detail from many different collaborator groups, domain experts, and technical resources.

You will interact with multiple teams within Group Benefits Plan Sponsors Services, Group Benefits Operations as well as Group Benefits IT and various levels of management.


Responsibilities

  • 30% Project work to support medium to large projects, developing new tools, automating existing business processes.
  • 30% Security Access Reviews.
  • Influence proper IS & business engagement in problems
  • Look for ways to improve/ streamline the way we work and how we service our customers and partners.
  • Working closely with IT Client Risk Management to provide evidence re: user access for SOX reviews.

The Professional Services Team in Group Benefits -IT provides opportunity to make a difference in how Group Benefits Systems and processes are managed, enhanced, and supported.

What we are looking for:


  • Previous business analysis experience or strong system knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one Group Benefits business area (Plan Design Services, Plan Member Administration, Sponsor Financial Services, Underwriting) is preferred.
  • Understand how Group Benefits Plan Sponsor Services and/or Group Benefits Operations systems and processes integrate and potential impacts on operations.
  • Ability to multitask, exhibiting flexibility and good judgment in assessing business priorities.
  • Proven experience with learning new products, technologies, and tools.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be innovative, creative and work collaboratively with peers and across departments/ projects/ locations.
  • SQL server knowledge preferred. (i.e. building and running queries)

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Waterloo, Ontario is expected to be between $68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD.
