We are currently looking for a

Cost Analyst to join our Transmission General Capital Management team in a temporary position. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance of the group and providing reliable and timely information and analysis to the Senior Business Analyst to help guide the Leadership teams in the decision-making process.

As a Cost Analyst,

you will:

Provide accounting for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes.
Process requisitions, liaising with Accounts Payable, Procurement and other internal teams as required.
Prepare and process third party billing for vendors.
Provide detailed variance analysis.
Provide monthly reconciliations.
Perform project tasks with good overall quality, while being able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Perform Adhoc projects and analysis, as required.

What skills will make you successful?

You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:
You have a recognized Accounting/Business Certificate or degree, and a minimum of 2 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
You have an excellent working knowledge of Excel, strong analytical abilities, a keen business sense, knowledge of computer operating systems, and effective organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
You have strong organizational skills, you are detailoriented, and are comfortable working to deadlines.
