Core responsibilities of position:

Conduct surveys and utility locates on construction sites using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Passive and Active EM (Electromagnetic) sweeps to collect subsurface data prior to concrete cutting and excavation
Analyze GPR and sweep data to identify underground structures, utilities, and anomalies using data, visual inspection, consultation, and documentation
Collaborate externally with superintendents, engineers, and other stakeholders to interpret findings and provide actionable insights
Collaborate internally with management and field operators to communicate survey findings and the implications of those findings
Prepare reports detailing GPR survey results, including recording visual representations directly on the survey surface
Stay informed about the latest advancements in GPR technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of our methodologies.
During down time assist in sales by tracking down leads and distributing contact information to clients
Successful completion of a criminal background check
Valid Gclass driver's license
Construction experience an asset, especially working with plumbing, rebar, or electrical
Experience with ground penetrating radar and utility locating an asset
Comfortable working on the road and in changing, sometimes challenging environments including exposure to weather, cold, heat, dust, heights, and noise
Honest and conscientious in record keeping
Analytical, tenacious, and determined
