Criteria for Faculty Lecturer (nil-salary) (part-time) appointment at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy

To be eligible for this appointment, clinical supervisors (Faculty Lecturer nil-salary) must commit to supervise a minimum of five (5) students over the three-year term of the appointment.

In addition, Faculty Lecturers are expected to contribute at least once per year to an instructional activity.

This could include, for example, either providing a lecture within a course; practical instruction or facilitation within a lab; facilitating a small group teaching session or clinical reasoning workshop; participation as an OSCE examiner; or as an interprofessional education (IPE) facilitator.

Eligibility includes active membership in a Professional Order.

Appointed clinically based faculty members are engaged to fulfill the roles outlined in their position descriptions, in the areas of administration, teaching, and/or research as outlined in their letters of offer.

The appointee is expected to keep track of their contributions to the SPOT mandates as this will be important information for the assessment of appointment renewal.
