    Description

    Shiny Stone Care is looking for Stone Installer, Polisher and Repairer for Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week) position to join our company, working at various sites across the Vancouver lower mainland area.

    We offer $30.00 per hour (overtime paid as par BC Ministry of Labour & employment rules). Vacation 4%.

    Duties:
    Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing them.
    Install tiles, stones, slabs, or veneers onto surfaces such as countertops, or facades.
    Assess damaged stone surfaces to determine the extent of repairs needed.
    Repair chips, cracks, or scratches in stone using appropriate fillers, adhesives, or patching materials.
    Match colors and textures of repair materials to the original stone surface.
    Clean and prepare stone surfaces for polishing by removing dirt, grime, or previous coatings.
    Select appropriate polishing compounds and abrasives based on stone type and desired finish.
    Operate polishing machines, such as grinders or polishers, to buff and shine stone surfaces.
    Use hand tools or small equipment for detailed or hard-to-reach areas.
    Inspect polished surfaces for defects or imperfections and perform touch-ups as needed.
    Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
    Set up machines and equipment


    Applicants must:
    High school diploma;
    At least 2-years proven work experience in the field;
    Have a valid drivers license;
    Have knowledge of ceramic, mosaic, marble, quarry, slate, stone and granite desirable
    Attention to details, overtime required, work under pressure;
    Basic communication in English required;
    Team player, organized, reliability;
    Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses and hard hat required.
