Fireplace Installer - St. John's, Canada - The Wood Shed

Description

We are looking for a fireplace installer/general labourer to join our team.

The Wood Shed Fireplace supply specialize in the sale and installation of wood and propane burning stoves, fireplace products and prefabricated chimney systems.

We are looking for experienced construction personnel to join our installation team.

• Ability to use various power tools and has basic framing skills (1+ year of experience would be an asset)
• Feel comfortable working on ladders and roofs
• Experience with fireplace installation would be an asset but not required as training will be provided
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Comfortable working in all types of weather
• Workplace safety training (fall arrest) would be an asset but can be provided as required
• Effective communication skills and customer service
• Valid driver's license

As a fireplace installer/general labourer you will be working directly with experienced fireplace installers and have the opportunity to learn and grow with the business.

You will be responsible for the installation of fireplace products such as wood stoves, fireplaces and all chimney components. This position also includes some masonry work with training provided as required (i.e. chimney repairs).

You will also be responsible for reading product manuals and getting familiar with local building codes and chimney venting materials.

From $19.00 per hour
