- Provision and maintenance of the network
- Provide support during network outages to minimize downtime and ensure all services are available to customers
- Complete assurance and routine tasks to keep the network operating at optimum levels
- Plan, coordinate, and ensure all daily work and project activities are completed following company practices and processes, including change management rules
- Perform tasks related to provisioning, service assurance, maintenance, and project coordination with technologies that include transport, broadband, IP, switching, power, and frame in COs, CEVs, WICs, OPI, etc.
- Partner with internal and external parties (e.g., XNOC, PCMC, BDA, vendors)
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Candidates who are part of the Craft and Services bargaining unit must have:
- A college diploma in electronics or telecommunications, or equivalent work experience

- A minimum of a high school diploma
- Hold a valid driver's license – Class G or G2
- Possess good manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools
- Be capable of lifting and carrying heavy weight, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working in restricted areas
- Capable of differentiating coloured wires (colour code)
- Follow all safety requirements associated with the work equipment and job functions
- Work autonomously and with minimal supervision
- Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
