Position Summary:


Reporting to the Executive Director, Nature + Climate Projects Accelerator, the Program Coordinator will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team building on years of climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience action by the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

The Nature + Climate Projects Accelerator aims to develop and implement natural capital investment strategies and offset projects that help to accelerate the protection and restoration of high value conservation lands.

In pursuit of this objective, the Program Coordinator will support the Accelerator team through multi-disciplinary program support.

This includes administrative support, project controls/budget support, and role growth into project work in the development and implementation of Nature-based solutions projects.

The Program Coordinator role requires an execution-oriented self-starter to deliver on diverse initiatives in a highly dynamic environment.

Spanning project support, administrative support, project work, accounting, production of briefing materials, communications, and project management systems, the Program Coordinator must be highly organized, collaborative, and a strong communicator.


Responsibilities:


  • Diverse project support work, assisting senior members of the Nature + Climate Projects Accelerator team in all areas
  • Managing and tracking Key Performance Indicators and presenting with the use of dashboards or other visual means
  • Managing and tracking Lessons Learned toward continuous improvement goals
  • Managing budgets in support of the Executive Director's financial accountabilities, including reporting, trend analysis/tracking, and invoicing
  • Management of scheduling, planning, and documenting of team and committee meetings and initiatives
  • Preparing briefing materials for executive leadership
  • Designing PowerPoint presentations, policy and communication documents
  • Coordinating communications materials for the Accelerator team, including website updates, internal bulletins, and externalfacing materials as required
  • Management of team document storage and file hygiene in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Leading accountability for accelerator CRM usage

Required Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sustainability, carbon project development, environmental consulting, conservation, or a related field.
  • Post secondary education, preferably in sustainable business, environmental studies, business administration or related area
  • Drafting executive briefings, meeting minutes, and presentations
  • Tracking Key Performance Indicators and presenting results in an effective way using dashboards, figures, or other visual aids
