The Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, implementation, and completion of projects that employ qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies
- Engage with community and other project stakeholders to develop crosssystem communications and consultation for the project
- Collaborate with project team members, partners and stakeholders to ensure all project deliverables are completed and milestones are met
- Draw on a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods and methodologies to provide handson support for research activities such as data collection (e.g., participant recruitment, facilitating interviews or focus groups, surveys, etc.) and analysis (e.g., qualitative coding, NVivo analysis, teambased analysis, statistical, etc.)
- Provide leadership in developing projectrelated documents, which may include protocols, ethics submissions, budgets, consent forms, and others (in accordance with CCfV's Standard Operating Procedures)
- Assist in the preparation of grants and production of reports, manuscripts, and presentations
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, 7.5 hours shift
Your Qualifications:
- Master's degree in health, education, social sciences, or related field (or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 3+ years of relevant work experience within a university, hospital, or comparable environment in a research setting
- Experience managing or coordinating research projects and implementing qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies
- Completion of a research methods course or an equivalent amount of experience with qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixedmethods research
- Proficiency with data analysis software (NVivo, SAS, etc.) an asset
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
- Training or professional experience in data collection and analysis for qualitative research methods (required) and quantitative research methods (strongly preferred)
- Project management experience in a research, academic or community setting
- Proven expertise/experience in research methods, research design, and program evaluation
- Experience fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners, as well as recruiting study participants
- Able to produce high quality written work (e.g., correspondence, meeting minutes, study documents, reports, summaries, tables, charts, graphs, manuscripts, etc.)
- Able to assemble, analyze and clearly present complex data and recommendations to professional and lay audiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
- Demonstrate a high level of time management and decisionmaking skills regarding setting priorities based on deadlines (both internal and external)
- Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and proactively address responsibilities
- Demonstrate a high level of organizational and planning skills, including developing work schedules, monitoring study progress, and tracking details, data, information, and activities
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally
- Able to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment; able to initiate own work schedule without regular supervision while working offsite
