Service Technician - Plumbing, Heating, Gasfitting

BHP Mechanical Ltd. Is a locally owned and operated mechanical company that services the greater Edmonton area.

We are looking for a highly motivated technician who is looking for an opportunity to make a change and advance their career.

Service Technicians core duties are as follows, but not limited to:

• On site service of plumbing, heating, HVAC.
• Preventative maintenance programs
• Startup and commissioning of new and repaired equipment
• Work on hydronic heating
• Install or repair gas fired appliances. Leak detection and gas pressure calibration.
• Provide repair solutions.
• Maintain and operate a company vehicle
• Participate in company COR safety program

Requirements:

• Journeyman/Apprentice accredited Plumber/Gasfitter or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
• Must have service experience
• Must be able to work oncall
• Must be able to provide a clean criminal records check
• Class 1 Gasfitting is an asset
• Cross Connection Certification would be an asset
• Able to use a variety of hand and power tools, meters and testing equipment, rigging and handling equipment to perform duties
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Able to communicate with a positive attitude and a high level of customer service skill
• Strong written communication skills for completion of necessary paperwork
• Able to critically think and make decisions to provide the highest quality of service
• Safety conscious
• Valid class 5 driver's license and a clean drivers abstract. Vehicle supplied by employer.

$36.00-$40.00 per hour
