    Senior Project Manager - Construction

    Location: Brampton, Ontario

    Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a strong background in new build construction to join our client's team and lead the successful delivery of their construction projects. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of new build construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget while upholding the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the pre-construction phase, conducting feasibility studies, cost estimations, and value engineering analyses to optimize project outcomes.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders, taking into account project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
    • Manage the construction process, including subcontractor selection, procurement, scheduling, and site logistics, to ensure efficient project execution.
    • Monitor project progress closely, identifying potential risks, delays, and quality issues, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate them.
    • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
    • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and ensure project success.
    • Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
    • Uphold our client's reputation for excellence in construction through meticulous attention to detail, superior craftsmanship, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in new build construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects.
    • Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and achieving project goals.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
    • Proficiency in construction project management software, such as Procore, PlanGrid, or Primavera.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
