Team & Job Overview


The Family Scrum Master (FSM) is a servant leader who acts as a coach and Senior Scrum Master for the Family.

The FSM ensures the Family stays on course by facilitating the release events and processes and assists the teams in delivering value and driving relentless improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of value for the Family using tools like the Program Kanban.
  • Work with Family Product Owner (FPO), Product Owners (PO), Tech Leads (TL), and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.
  • Establish and communicate calendars for iterations and program increments.
  • Develop Planview budget and forecast monthly.
  • Review and approve timesheets.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Planning, Quarterly Planning readiness, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, System Demo readiness, and other relevant.
  • Familylevel syncs and assist with PO Sync meetings as needed to help the Family manage work.
  • Synthesize, track, and communicate Quarterly Objectives, risks, dependencies, and key milestones with all stakeholders.
  • Help manage risks and crossteam dependencies, escalate and track impediments.
  • Assist tracking execution of features and derive metrics that help the Family make datadriven decisions.
  • Lead process improvement opportunities resulting from workshops (e.g., Inspect & Adapt workshop).
  • Participate in quarterly planning communicates vision, roadmap, and prioritized features.
  • Role model and coach Agile behaviors (as needed).
  • Working with vendors to support contract needs including onboarding and offboarding of vendors and consultants.
  • Managing a budget for the overall operation of a team.
  • Development of and evaluation of responses for RFPs.

Agile/Digital Experience

  • Deep and effective expertise in software delivery, program management, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile metric techniques (e.g., what to capture, how to interpret result, and how to use them to course correct).
  • Assess the agility level of the Family and help them improve.

Screening Criteria

  • Completed an undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 710 years of experience in project management, program management or business analysis.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Lean, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g., DASM, DASSM).

Assets

  • Agile Coaching certification (e.g., DAC).
  • Experience with AzureDevOps, Planview, Leankit, Miro, and Aha Applications.
  • Fluently bilingua
