New Wave Electric & Automation is an electrical and home automation contractor specializing in the local Architectural residential market.

We are looking for team members to assist in the installations of electrical & home automation systems.

We are seeking Journeymen & apprentice electricians who want to grow their experience and skill set to include new technologies in the home electrical and automation fields.

As well as residential integration technicians who are interested in exploring electrical installations.

We are specialized in Lutron Homeworks (RA3) Lighting & Shading as well as Savant Home and Power Systems. Applicants with experience in these specific systems will have priority.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform residential automation system work in the residential sector, including, but not limited to, installation, repair, and maintenance of electricity generation, wiring, electrical controls, and panel boxes
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair residential automation, lighting, shading, networking systems
• Maintain a safe workplace environment
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Keep up with a fastpaced work environment and meet tight deadlines
• Be professional in all interactions with customers and fellow trade workers
• Communicate and work in a team
• Comply with all safety regulations
• Valid driver's license & clean driving record own transportation required.
• Residential and/or light commercial experience.
• Genuine interest in their career and progression, as well as a commitment to quality and pride of work.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas in the field of automation and technology.
• Ability to work and learn independently and as a team.
• Own basic tools for the job at minimum.

The following skills would be considered an additional asset:

• Exposure to both residential new construction and renovation.
• Experience or exposure to residential automation systems.
• Programming and/or installation experience with products like Savant & Lutron.
• Experience with data and network systems.
• Experience installing basic AV systems
