What is the opportunity?


This position has the responsibility for providing technical support in the pricing model development for Request For Quotation (RFQ) for the Pension & Longevity Solutions International Reinsurance team, providing recommendations to RBC Insurance Company Ltd (RBCICL) on the accuracy and risk assessment for International Pension Derisking Longevity Reinsurance products.

The position requires strong knowledge of Moody Analytics software Axis (Annuity module) and Datalink, provide analytic support for the completion of the pricing documentation, scenario testing for new business opportunities, and developing capabilities assessment, documentation and presentation of Pension Derisking mortality experience studies.


What will you do?

  • Analyze, model, and quantify potential risks associated with the RFQ for International Longevity Reinsurance Axis model development
  • Develop the pricing model or mortality experience studies, providing documented recommendations to internal stakeholders and RBCICL

What will you need to succeed?
Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Accounting, completion of a minimum of 3 actuarial exams, and actively pursuing an ASA/ACIA designation
  • 1 to 2 years of actuarial industry experience in either a pricing, product development or valuation role
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Have

  • Working experience with R languages, Tableau, and SAS.
  • Knowledge of Pension Derisking Group Annuity is a definite asset.
