As a trusted advisor, you'll implement anti-fraud controls and resolve fraud emergencies, reducing clients' exposure to criminal and civil wrongdoing.

- Assist in the execution of client engagements primarily on the matters of fraud investigations, fraud risk assessments, forensic accounting and litigation support
- Assist and/or carry out reports of detailed engagements and contribute to deliverables
- Assist in the execution of investigative plans on sensitive litigious matters and objectively analyze complex financial matters
- Analyze financial data, examine documents, conduct indepth research and assist with Forensic engagements such as contract disputes, asset misappropriation and conflicts of interest
- Support the design, development, formatting and proof reading of highquality professional reports, proposals and correspondence
- Support the delivery of highquality client service to ensure client needs are responded to in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work
- Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
- Engage in forensic accounting through specific engagements regarding the calculation and analytics of economic loss claims, loss quantification, dispute resolution and risk management
- Participate in the development of independent, detailed expert financial reports, preparation of memoranda, conducting research, documentation examination and constructing financial models; articulate findings
- Participate in forensic team meetings on a regular basis
- Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of team presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
- Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
- Develop a thorough understanding of MNP's services, businesses and industry
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Raise awareness of MNP at community events
- Attend internal MNP courses to further develop your forensic accounting knowledge
Skills and Experience
- Completion of a degree or diploma in accounting
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Completion of, working towards or plan to complete a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)designation or other Canadian accounting designation is an asset
- Completion of, working towards or plan to complete the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation is an asset
- Completion of, working towards or plan to complete a Forensic designation is an asset
- One (1) to four (4) years experience in public accounting or Professional Services industry; experience in advisory or consulting is considered an asset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, obtain, analyze and consolidate information from various sources
- Ability to work in high conflict scenarios
- Ability to obtain security clearance through the Government of Canada
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Some travel may be required
