Accounting Supervisor to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP/AESP
- Provide guidance to Accounts Payable and Credit & Collections teams with general ledger & system queries.
- Record & maintain capital assets records, initiating monthly depreciation & reporting.
- Analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate discrepancies
- Work closely with the Controller to identify efficiencies & implement controls.
- Propose recommendations for process improvements and controls
- Develop team goals aligned with Company objectives & promote succession planning.
- Provide coaching, guidance & support, set professional development plans to assist employees to reach their full potential
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- 9+ years progressive accounting experience at a senior level with previous supervisory/leadership experience
- Postsecondary education in accounting or finance
- Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA)
- Experience with major ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Relevant accounting experience, including financial reporting & controls
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, detail oriented with ability to produce high quality analysis
- Extensive MS Excel skills with excellent skills in other MS Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
