***The Junior Materials Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring the appropriate quantity and composition of component parts are available for the production process on a daily basis.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process intercompany and local component orders and complete associated purchase orders
  • Produce shortage report on intercompany and local component suppliers, escalating areas of concern
  • Confirm receipt of incoming intercompany and local components, completing all associated reconciliations
  • Correspond with component and local suppliers related to orders, shipments and shortages
  • Perform invoice reconciliation, escalating issues to supervisor as necessary
  • Track and report out on supplier delivery performance, initiate improvement activities and action plans
  • Track and report out on nonconforming part inventory
  • Manage and control the bill of material (BOM) process
  • Review negative balance, production and scrap reports, related to Prop Shaft and escalate as necessary
  • Process and support ECN tasks
  • Facilitate physical inventory twice per year or as otherwise scheduled
  • Support abnormal quality meeting activities as required
  • Other duties as assigned in order to meet business objectives
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in production control function
  • Proficient with MS Office, Mapics
  • Experience within automotive or manufacturing sector
  • University, College Degree or Diploma

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Daily activities are centered in an office setting/manufacturing setting wearing prescribed uniform and comply with all personal protective equipment requirements
  • Structured shifts that may be fixed or rotational in nature, utilizing a punch clock system
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required and shifts outside your structured shift assignment
